Sincerely," John Ridgeley (1909-1968), known as "Mr. Average Man", was featured mostly in war and other action films. He debuted in Submarine D-1 (1937), and played supporting roles in such World War II dramas as Destination Tokyo and Pride of the Marines. He had prominent roles in two Howard Hawks films: as a gangster in The Big Sleep (1946) and as the commanding officer in Air Force (1947). One of his last film roles was in the SF epic When Worlds Collide (1951). The Doughgirls was released in 1944. Multiple mailing folds. Lightly toned around edges.
