DON COLLIER (b. 1928) is an actor particularly known for his role in television westerns during the 1960s. Collier has made more than seventy film and television appearances. He has starred with John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Anthony Quinn, Dean Martin, Tom Selleck, James Arness, and Elvis Presley. After playing a role in the 1948 film Massacre River, he acquired roles in Fort Apache (1948) and Davy Crockett, Indian Scout (1950). Collier appeared in the first seasons of both CBS's long-running Gunsmoke (1955) and NBC's powerhouse western Bonanza (1959). From 1967-1971, he was cast as Sam Butler, the ranch foreman, in sixty-two episodes of NBC's The High Chaparral, about a family who run a ranch in the 1870s. Typecast by virtue of her accent and her exotic Latino features, Argentine actress LINDA CRISTAL (b. 1934) could usually be found in westerns. Her most notable films include Comanche (1956), The Fiend Who Walked the West (1958), The Alamo (1960) and Two Rode Together (1961). From 1967 through 1971, Cristal played Victoria Cannon on the TV western The High Chaparral. BOB HOY (1927-2010), born Robert F. Hoy, was a stuntman and actor widely known and respected as a western performer. He has hundreds of credits dating back to 1950, including 62 episodes of The High Chaparral (1967-1971), Disneyland (1958-1959), The Rockford Files and Cannon (1975), Dallas (1978-1982), Magnum P.I.
