If you have, you'll realize why we needed to create a summer version of our hometown trail shoe. With a highly breathable, open mesh upper, you can let your feet breathe in the mountain air while they still remain protected from rocks and roots. The BOCO SOL features our Action/Reaction technology in a lightweight, all-terrain package. Sunscreen not included. Open Weave Upper The upper of the Newton BoCo Sol is constructed from a Open weave, highly breathable mesh upper. The soft and subtle construction allows fresh air to permeate the interior keeping the foot cool and comfortable as you perform. The upper mesh and co-existing materials have been treated with a durable water repellent coating, this provides partial weather protection from light showers while 360 degree reflectivity keeps you visible in low light setting. The integration of a Durable rubber toe bumper protects toes from impact on rocks, roots and other trail hazards. This coincides with the Gusseted tongue which also gives security from debris and unwanted rock fragments. While these features take place the foot is lock and secured in place through Non-slip laces and a Heel lock lace. Cradling the foot, they protect the foot and achilles from heel strike through to midstance and all the way back out again through the toe of phase. Lastly Anatomical metatarsal stretch panels are placed to provide a comfortable fitting that moves with the foot. Action/reaction Midsole The midsole of the Newton BoCo Sol is actually quite amazing. Equipped with action/reaction technology, you are assured of very energized steps. The technology stores energy upon impact, and releases energy upon transition, giving you a jump start on every step that you take.
