This beautiful Mexican blouse is the modern version of the traditional San Antonino Oaxaca Mexican blouse. Style is contemporary, authentically Mexican. The embroidery is all hand-made and the designs are all small flowers typical of this region. The amount of work required make these garments very highly regarded. The blouse is perfect for an elegant but casual event or party or just a day outside. The fit is closer to the body, and the sleeveless design makes it perfect for a day or night out. Some of the figures in the designs are inspired from the art work on historic buildings. The process to create the dress may take a few months. It is usually cut and designed by a family or cooperative, and then is sent to women in communities across the region for embroidering. The length of the blouse is about 28 inches. The critical measurement for this blouse is the bust just below the underarm.
