This beautiful Mexican dress is the baby girls version of the traditional and peasant Puebla Mexican dress. The dress is typical of the region of Tehuacan in the state of Puebla. The style is loose and very simple. It has a straight sleeve as used traditionally. The dress is perfect for a warm day. All of the items are one of a kind because combinations of fabric and thread colors are unique. The color description is only for the fabric. Some of the figures in the designs are inspired from the art work on historic buildings. The process to create the dress may take a few months. It is usually cut and designed by a family or cooperative, and then is sent to women in communities across the region for embroidering.
