This is a high-quality, beautiful, historically accurate 16th century, Tudor style gown. The handmade, crocheted black snood (hair net) is included!
This beautiful gown is of lightweight cotton, embellished with a delicate black and white floral pattern. A double-ruffle of black lace adorns the front of the bodice, which is fully lined and supported with boning to maintain shape. The back of the bodice fastens with eighteen hand-sewn grommets and black cord.
Two rows of black lace accent the Tudor style long sleeves which, historically, were intended to subtly conceal a lady's wrist and lower hand.
The entire gown is constructed with double inverted seams, which prevents fraying and adds to the life of the garment. The long flowing skirt has a mini-hem to prevent fraying. Seller will happily hem gown to desired length.
This would be an excellent gown for a Renaissance fair, festival, ball, or historical reenactment, where accuracy is key.
