The Indigo Chukka boot is expertly crafted from a handwoven, naturally dyed textile produced by a fair trade textile cooperative. The pattern is produced using a traditional mud resist printing technique, and dyed using natural indigo. We are expressedly interested in supporting this craft fabric because it is uniquely handspun (the raw cotton is spun by hand into thread), and then handwoven. A fully complete testament to a handworked textile, from concept to completion. We paired the textile with natural vegetable tanned leather to round out a vibrant, unique pair of shoes., This exciting craft bootie that is sure to spark a conversation whenever worn, and this makes us happy. The chukka boot silhouette is inspired by a vintage almond toed shoe shape, with contemporary lines and commentaries, such as the thin cotton cord lacing (made in Maine USA) and leather details.
