Activated charcoal powder can be used as a colorant to create extremely beautiful black and rich gray colors in natural soap and other cosmetic products such as facial scrubs.

• Recommendations for use in Soap: Typically used as a colorant in natural soap to create beautiful black or grey color shades. Activated charcoal powder mixes easily in water.
• Cold Process Natural Soap: Using approximately 1 - 1.5 Tablespoons per pound of oil will create a beautiful deep black without discoloring the lather. Add the activated charcoal powder to your soap batch at the beginning of the trace. Note that a small amount goes along way so add carefully to achieve the shade you desire.
• Melt & Pour: Typical usage is 2-3 teaspoons per pound of melt and pour soap base. Again, note a small amount goes along way so add carefully.
