Description

This is a rare opportunity to buy a piece of fashion history from the collaboration of two extraordinary French fashion designers of the 20th century, Pierre Cardin and Hermes Paris.

This is a mens marine blue wool suit. The jacket has a deep v neck cut with an exaggerated lapel, a front zip closure with large a pull and 2 front open pockets. The subtle flared pants are slightly cropped and have central pleats running all the way down on the front and back.

Interior

The interior of the jacket stays true to the nautical style of the suit with a Hermes Paris silk scarf lining with the 'Pavois' print designed by Philippe Ledoux in 1964. The print has a selection of international flags, anchors and fish and is signed 'Hermes Paris'.

Inside the inner pocket of the left chest is a handwritten label which reads; 'Monsieur Coinfeld
Le Novembre 1968'

The suit was made by hand in Pierre Cardin's atelier in Paris.
