Kilim are a type of pile-less flat-weave floor coverings, traditionally with a geometric pattern. This kilim area rug was made in the Northern region of Afghanistan by the Turkoman tribes living in traditional villages. It is made of 100% wool from their own sheep and their own vegetable dyes brewed from local plants and minerals.
