Take your system to the next level and power up with the EVGA Super NOVA 1000 G1!NOTE: For power supplies purchased in Europe, a European style power cable will be provided. Troubleshooting steps: 1) First check to make sure the power supply main power cable is the power cable that came with the EVGA power supply. a. If the cable is correct, make sure it is securely plugged into the power supply. 2) Make sure the other end of the power supply main power cable is plugged into a wall outlet or a power strip. If tested in a power strip, first make sure the strip is on. If the power supply still will not turn on, then test the power supply in a wall outlet. a. Note: Power supplies do not automatically turn on when plugged into the wall or outlet. The power supply must be switched on, and must be jumped by turning on a motherboard or connecting it to a tester unit, such as the one provided by EVGA. 3) Make sure the power supply is switched on. The power supply will arrive switched off, or in the “0” position. The power switch on the back of the power supply must be switched to the “On” position, which is confirmed when the switch is depressed towards the “1.” a. If the power supply does not turn on at this point, then switch the power supply off for the moment. 4) If the above steps have been completed and the power supply still does not turn on, then review all modular cables plugged into the power supply. All modular cables should be from the cable set that came with the EVGA power supply. If any cables are plugged in from another power supply or power supply manufacturer, then the power supply will not likely turn on. 5) If the cables are the original cables received with the power supply, then remove all modular cables from the power supply, except for the 24-pin connector. 6) The 24-pin main motherboard cable is designed with 24-pins on one end (which plugs into the motherboard) and 28-pins on the opposite side. The 28-pin side plugs into the power supply with two cables (one 24-pin and one 4-pin); BOTH cables need to be plugged into the power supply, or the power supply will not turn on, even while using the tester unit. 7) Once both the 24-pin and 4-pin connector set are plugged into the power supply, connect the tester unit to the remaining 24-pin connector. Switch the power supply ON (towards the “1”). If the above steps have been followed, the power supply fan should turn on and stay on indefinitely, until the power supply is switched off. 8) If the above steps have been followed and the power supply does not turn on at this point, then the power supply is likely in need of replacement.
