But if you need to attract the attention of someone who is too far away to hear the whistle, it is of no help. If the diver is disabled and can't blow into it, a whistle is even less help. In contrast, the DiveAlert enables divers at the mere touch of a button to generate a blast of sound that can be heard up to a mile away! The DiveAlert is a specially designed, small, lightweight air horn that uses quick-connect/disconnect hose fittings to become an integrated part of your power inflator. Installation is easy and takes only a moment. The DiveAlert does not require any modification of your other equipment, and it does not interfere in any way with the normal operation of your other equipment. When you need to get someone's attention on the water's surface, you simply press a button and the DiveAlert uses a small amount of air from your SCUBA tank to make a piercingly loud sound. (If at first the horn does not clear all the water, try holding the button longer to facilitate clearing.)
