The COLD/R Radiant Barrier portable coolers are crafted from premium LLDPE (linear low-density polethylene) into a ONE-PIECE, DOUBLE-WALL insualated cooler. We have filled the inner walls with a thick COLD/R thermoset foam layer with superior R-Values and Infrared-Reflective properties to provide up to 5-DAYS of thermal retention. In addition, the coolers feature many built-in conveniences. The lid provides a textured surface for food preparation, cup holders with drain escapes, and a ruler molded into the surface. The sides have the carry handles, tie-downs for travel and boating, and a drain that is threaded for a garden hose (a security chain keeps the plug from getting lost. The back hinges use Stainless Steel pins for added strength. The front lock is stainless steel and also serves as a bottle opener. The 2 front rubber latches provide superior closure and help maintain an air-tight seal for the lid. AIR-TIGHT SEAL - Please note that the cooler seals so well, that to open the lid you will need to depress the pressure-relief button on the front of the cooler!
