Great system but wiring this thing is tough to figure out.....Step by Step instructions are here.
I first need to start by saying this is a great system. It is working flawlessly and it is easy to program the RFID's as well as the PIN's. I believe the price is very competitive and if you can work a drill and screwdriver, installation isn't difficult either. The system I am reviewing has:- K80 Power Supply Control- Door Exit button- Electric Door Strike- IP68 Keypad- Remote control receiver- Remote- 5 Key FOBs- 5 ID cardsHere is how you wire the thing (or, at least how I did). If you look at the mess of wires coming from the Keypad, there are 12 colored wires. The only ones you need to use to wire this system are the red, black, blue, yellow and purple. If you have other additional items like a door bell, you would need the others and you will have to figure out how to do it..1) Connect the following from the Keypad to the Power Supply:Red wire --> +12VBlue wire --> PushBlack wire --> GNDPurple wire --> GND2) Using additional wiring (not supplied), connect the Door Strike to the Power Supply. Although I don't believe it matters, I connected the lower terminal to the +NO and the other to the COM on the Power Supply.3) Connect the small Remote Control Receiver to the Power Supply using additional wiring:NO --> PUSHCOM --> GND12V- --> GND+12V --> +12V4) Powering the Power Supply Control is a rather simple task. Any standard plug from an old appliance will do. I purchased a couple from a thrift store for $1. Splice the wire from the plug and connect each wire to one of the red wires from the other end of the Power Supply Control. It does not matter which goes where. If you would like a more professional look, open up the box on the Power Supply Control by unscrewing the 2 screws on the side. Pull the red wires inside of the box and fish your cord from your plug inside as well. Connect the wires with a couple wire nuts and close the box back up.5) I do not have the Exit Button wired in my pictures. If you would like to utilize the Exit Button you will need to connect the Yellow wire from the keypad to one of the terminals on the Exit Button. Connect the other terminal on the Exit Button to the Power Supply(GND). Like the Door Strike, I don't believe it matters which terminals you use.Overall, I am giving this system 3 Stars but I really contemplated 4 because the system works very well. Ultimately due to the difficult to understand wiring diagram and incomplete manual I went lower. It took a few hours to decipher how the connections were supposed to go and to find a valid explanation for the "flashing" red light on the keypadwhich was missing from the included manual. If others will find this review/explanation helpful and you can balance out my review with a higher rating.

This kit has pretty much everything you need for a really good price. And I must admit that the quality seems to be there too. No, it's not super duper high end, but it's also certainly not (Asian) junk either. The keypad especially has real heft and a quality feel, as does the control box. The instructions are not idiot proof, but I was able to figure everything out.

What really stands out about this kit is the quality to value equation. You simply are not going to do any better than this kit. I am deeply impressed what you get and how well it all works for the price. Highly recommended.

This is a great product. It doesn't include the magnetic door switch that you'll probably want and the wiring instructions are okay but I was able to get it all installed in an hour or two and it's been working great for a month at our office.

I added a 12v magnetic switch for $4 and used a push bar latch with it.

I love this unit. I setup our office with this keypad which works stand alone or as a reader for another system. I found a 4 door control board for $81 on here and can use it with that. the instructions are a little hit and miss but once its working it is the best for the money.

Got this for my church. I do NOT generally work with ANY electricity. I was able to do the installation with 6 colored wire set purchased seperayely. It works. It is a fairly good basic system. No buzzer with this model. The exit button was too wide for our door. But you can add doorbell later & order another exit button.
    The real problems are:
    1. Too TOO many wiring diagrams. For stand alone single door with provided converter, Page 5 of Card Reader manual gives the correct wiring. Throw out what comes with the power converter box. This is so confusing. 2. Strike plate has no template for cut-out. If you have traditional style locks, you will have yo cut out your new strike plate. A template would be very helpful. But there is none. Sure, you can measure, but if it needs to be moved, you have to keep marking & moving your lines. Hard to do on metal door. A print-out would be very helpful. You can enlarge the drawings, but kept having to reprint & measure.
    4. Screws holding wiring in would loosen up EASILY. While testing with foot long test wires , screws would listen up & wires would occasionally come out. Plastic is fragile & you don't want to push & bear down to tighten. Hope this does not happen after install is complete. Plan on being able to get to wires for re tightening if needed.
    5. Wire connectors on strike plate too fragile. Will need to unscrew & replace with another type from hardware store.
    6. Entry code only 4 digits. I would prefer 6-10 digit numerical code for improved security.
Even with these issues, I was able to install this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter set

I bought this as my first trial with a garden gate entry system. I learned a lot trough the process and might today I would buy slight different bits (power supply with battery backup, waterproof lock) but this kit works absolutely perfect and has everything you need for basic install. Comes with clear wiring instructions.
If you looking for a basic indoor entry control system with a great price this is definitely for you.
If you want a bit more complex system such as keycard entry to both sides, outdoor use with backup battery might best to look the items separately.

I have to separately mention the keypad which I really like as easy to Install and program but very versatile and fully waterproof. The only draw back that using KHz and not MHz RFID so it will not be compatible with most smart locks such as Yale. (Means you need two separate key fob, not the end of the word)

Aucune mauvaise surprise.
