I purchased the dark blue (Spy) jeans and they have become my "go-to" wardrobe essential. The material is thick enough to withstand trudging to classes during Buffalo winters, yet is supple enough to wear all day. I've noticed no loose threads or seams and the construction is good quality - particularly the zipper. The Spy color passes for blue during the day, but can be mistaken for black at night. The color has faded slightly and evenly throughout the pant, but I've worn and washed these - a lot!!!
As a female in her 40s, it's difficult finding jeans that are not too cutesy nor that look as if they're from another era. These are very basic, simply styled jeans without any embroidery on the pockets. I usually wear a 14, but chose the 16s as I normally sit "Indian-style" or with my legs tucked up under me, so I needed great flexibility. Even with machine drying on high heat, I've noted no shrinkage; these jeans retain the same looseness as when first purchased.
I've purchased three different colors, all in the same size and length, and each has had the same great evaluation. Crossing my fingers that Lee comes out with some spring colors.
