5 for comfort, 1 for durability.
3 Stars
5 for comfort, 1 for durability.
The fit was very comfortable, if a little large. A pair of thicker socks took care of that, but after 2 days, the seam on the left side of the left shoe came unsewed. For that amount of money, I should get better durability.

Been buying Keen work shoes for a few years now. They're my go-to work shoe as every other pair of work shoes I've worn in the 15 or so years of being in shop/industrial environments ends up having the toe get torn to bits but the toe cap Keen uses prevents this. Very comfortable to be in all day too- more so than my non-work shoes. Composite toe is nice as it saves a bit of weight (which you do notice after some time) and since I do fly for work somewhat often, composite toes mean I can keep them on going through the airport security (I have PreCheck). Only Knock to Keen shoes is their shoe laces don't seem to hold up all that well.

Overall very good shoes. Many reviews said they are sized a bit large, but I ordered my regular size (12) anyway and it seems pretty good. VERY comfortable. Left a little big, right a little smaller - which may be my feet rather than the shoes! Composite Toe box is very roomy - small toe box was a BIG problem trying on shoes in regular stores before I decided to order online. Amazon's easy return policy was a key in giving these a try, "just in case". My previous Composite Toe shoes from Sears are no longer available and most local stores don't even know what a Composite Toe is. It's only been a few days, but I think I have found my new brand of shoes.

Let me start by saying I have a couple pairs of Keen shoes, which I like. In fact, I prefer Keens over most other shoe companies. Now on to the Albany shoe. I thought I'd give these a try since I like my Pittsburg boots so well (soft and steel toes versions) I'm a auto technician which comes with a certain amount of danger to your feet, also I'm on home for the majority of a 9-10 day. I need a shoe for summer thats light, breathable, comfortable to wear with shorts, and still have some protection. These only provide some of these needed features, the shoe looks good, but the mesh upper seems a little cheap, the toe cap and foam footbed have lots of extra glue smeared out, and they are NOT light, I actually felt as though I were wearing clown shoes. They are lighter than the Durham I trie before these, but still not what I was expecting or wanting. I returned these thanks to Prime with no issues. If you are wearing these with pants, or don't need a light shoe these will probably fit the bill.

I would guess these run a 1/2 size larger or so. I ordered these hoping they would be a bit larger and they fit perfectly. I usually take a size 16 but found these in 15 with the wide cap toe area. Of course when the sizes get that large, you never know. Anyway, love 'em. Also for people who need to get through metal detectors these are metal free. I would think they would advertise that in the future. I actually had to send another company's pair back because they had brass eyelets and they would light up the metal detectors at work. I don't want to have to take my shoes off and put them back on every time I go through security at work. Quality early on seems very good.

I wear these shoe for work daily and the have been pushed to the max and have passed my personal test as being a great Work shoe!!! Months later and still durable and comfy!!!

Work in a butcher shop, needed something a little more durable and so far these are working out very well. They fit well, my feet and legs are no longer in agony after working on concrete all day. Normally when I break in new shoes they slip and slide the first couple of days, not these! Very good traction from day one, with the better traction and composite toe, they are definitely safer too.

This product is defective. Each shoe is a different size and slightly different shape. I mistakenly missed the return window by one day and wish there was still a way to return it.

I am 6'2", 215lbs, 13E - 3-stars because, for me, these Keens could be better - I usually like Keen shoes, they have been my go-to work shoe for a while.
However, these are not perfect, they work well enough for a few hours at a time. I'm currently (Spring time) working in Arizona and needed a composite toe safety shoe - they are just 'OK' - too narrow in the toe-box for truly wide feet, yet, loose fitting in general. And, although they seem to be vented, they are hot and a bit sweaty. Although, I do like the quiet-walking soles! with a thick pair of socks I think these would be great shoes, but thin socks, and warmer climates don't seem to be the best application of these...
