Product Description

This is a brand new holster that combines the ruggedness and stability of a belt holster with the convenience of a clip-on. It's multi-layer nylon cushion fit design molds itself to the shape of the gun. This holster is ambidextrous and includes both 2" wide belt loops and a sturdy, high carbon, black metal clip. The holster may be worn either left or right handed; it includes belt loops on both sides and the metal clip can be moved from side to side. The polyslide sight channel, soft nylon lining and reinforced thumb break insure a quick release and a smooth draw. The thumbreak is positioned across the hammer instead of the grip for a natural feel and a positive draw. An extra magazine pouch mounted on the front channel of the holster is standard. The holster is constructed using only top grade, new materials, and no surplus automotive foams, fillers or liners. The nylon exterior provides resistance to scuffs, abrasions and moisture. The interior features a smooth nylon lining and a closed cell foam moisture barrier. It is sewn using nylon thread and edgebound with nylon binding tape using double needle stitching to provide about 14 stitches per inch reinforcement. The combination of materials and hand finishing provides a strong, good looking, long wearing holster.

I have been wearing this OWB using the nylon pass-through belt loop and not the clip. This configuration reduces some of the thickness.

Also, I removed the snap retention thumb strap as the snap can easily be accidentally detached/unsnapped. Instead I replaced it with a straight continuous piece of velco cut to length since the holster has perfectly placed velcro patches on the front and back. The fact that the velcro strap goes under the belt loop on the back makes it impressively secure.

Durability remains a concern, but given I use this almost every day if it lasts a year I would call that a win given the price. The most obvious point of concern is the single stitching on the nylon belt loop. Time will tell.

My Bersa Thunder 380 is an excellent fit in this holster. The spare magazine pouch is a perfect match for the Bersa magazines.

With all the little "fits Thunder .380 except for Thunder .380 CC" (concealed carry version) limitations, I had no great expectations for this holster. Like the gun, it exceeded my expectations. The outside is a little rough, but not badly so. I found no abrasions on the gun, and an easy, smoothe draw after the snap is opened. It hung well on the outside of the pants (right hand draw), though it reverses the gun inside the pants (wear at least a pants size larger). The clip once or twice slipped up off the belt (a leather weave) in quick draw, but perhaps 98% of the time clung adequately. It feels good to me, and only adds slightly to the outline of the gun. The handy spare magazine holder on the front (not the outside) of the holster is a nice touch. The CC is snug fore and aft, but a tiny bit loose on the sides. It never fell out, even roughhousing with friends (don't worry: all cartridges removed and stored elsewhere safely). It offers easy access to the grip (scalloped on the CC) for a quality quick draw. I recommend this holster for the Bersa Thunder .380 CC model.
