Maybe it's because they are new but the soles seem abnormally stiff. Not so that I'd want to return them but they lack the level of flexibility I am used to seeing in new shoes. Beyond that they are comfortable and about what I expected so this was not a criticism as much as a surprise. The Velcro fastener works very well and holds the shoe on snugly which is always a concern with an unfamiliar fastener. I am pleased with my purchase of these shoes.

Got these for my dad -- his feet are numb from back problems and have recently started swelling. We took the extra liner out and they fit without pain on his swollen feet. We will add the liners when he's back to normal. They are comfortable, and he likes the soles -- he has trouble with catching big or knobby-soled shoes in the carpet and tripping -- these are fairly smooth and work well for him. He normally wears 10-1/2 EE, and the 10.5 3E worked for him -- I'm glad I didn't get the 4E because they are nice and wide. They also look nice -- like a casual dress shoe. He is very happy with them.

This is my second pair of these shoes.
They breathe are wide and comfortable but it only comes in black.

If your foot is wide like mine you don't
need to buy a size larger than you actually wear.
(I use to do this a lot and after a while I began to look like Bozo the clown).
A truly wide shoe like this can be about 1/2 (or even one) size shorter
than you had buy to get the extra width. They do not taper in at the toe so they can be shorter.

It comes with adjustable Velcro straps and foam inserts to help them fit just right.
The soles are very sturdy. I only wish they also came in brown as well.

I received these Pedwalker shoes today. I ordered size 11, but to fit comfortably it should have been 11.5. But these are the risks of buying shoes by sight. What struck me as strange, however, is that the nylon upper part of the right shoe is showing tiny indentures, as if the material had been under pressure of something that has left small round dents. This is clearly poor workmanship. Also, the instep of this shoe has not been sewed neatly. Thirdly, one can feel piece of a metal object at the back inside the shoe. All by all not worth the money, and I won't recommend buying these shoes at that price..

These shoes would be so comfortable if they could be tightened. Let me explain, the big flap you see is the velcro part. And you simply place the flap onto the shoe. Sounds simple enough, but the problem is you can't tighten the velcro. The Velcro doesn't go through a hole/loop initially, so you can't pull on it and then set the velcro down. Even if you hold the shoe really tight and then drop the velcro down, it is still loose. So what I had to do was set the velcro down without my foot in it. Then I use a shoe horn to get into the shoe so the shoe will fit snug enough so you won't slip out of the shoe, otherwise, you feet will come out of the shoe. The problem with the simple fix of shoe horning my feet in is that the shoe has a tongue, and the tongue gets shoved down. So after getting into the shoe I have to dig out the tongue and pull it up.

As for looks, even with velcro it can easily pass off as a comfortable dress shoe.
