I was always a 32" length in Levis and other brands. Levis stopped making silvertab baggy, which I need due to larger thighs. The Carhartt loose fit straight jeans were a very nice replacement. I am very pleased.
Note of caution, they run a bit longer than Levis, so my 32" were a tad long. I tried the 30, but the waist to crotch was too short, so I will stick to the 32"s. I might have them taken up just a bit. They fit nice on shoes or boots, just when I take my shoes off I notice it.
Very nice, heavy duty jeans. These are the 11.4 ounce and I have a pair of 15 ounce which, of course is heavier/thicker.

Anyway, I would recommend these to anyone. I appreciate the customer feedback on Amazon so I am replying in kind. Great jeans.

Fit Great, Rugged, & Outlasted my Levi 559s

I bought these simply because I had a Carhartt shirt that seemed to be of really good build quality. I was not disappointed by the pants! They have yet to pill or wear at the knee, whereas the Levi's 559s I bought at the same time have already ripped and are in the trash. Also, despite regularly carrying a wallet in my front pocket, there has yet to appear that white square of worn fabric. Great! I don't know what the Carhartt "brand" conveys (blue collar, construction, etc?), but they feel great and last. That makes me happy to wear them.

These pants are now my go-to pants. I will be ordering more when the time is right.

Have only worn them a few times, but these are the jeans I've been looking for! I ordered 38x32 because I usually have to to get a loose fit with Levi's or other brands. I see I didn't have to. They are true to the size on the tag! I'm a decent size guy, 6'1", 240 pounds, so it's always hard to find pants that are loose around my thighs and fit my waist. I could have ordered 36x32. These are nice quality pants that I can wear to work. We will see how they wear. I always wear the crotch out first! We'll see.

Loose fit legs, snug seat and low cut

I purchased these jeans hoping they would have a similar fit to the loose fit canvas carpenter pants - which I love. Unfortunately, the fit is very different. The legs are loose fit and run a hair longer than other jeans which is great for mobility and coverage. The seat however, is a snug fit. There is very little breathing room in the crotch/undercarriage area which results in consistent "wedgies." The waist size is true, however the cut is very low, just above the pubic area. I would compare the low cut fit to the appearance of teenager "hip hugger" jeans. If you're looking for an all around loose fit work jean, these are not them. The only reason why I gave two stars instead of one is because my wife likes the tight fit around the rear and low front. I'm not trying to make a fashion statement though, just looking for a comfortable quality work pant.

We have ordered the Carhartt twill work pants and have been satisfied so we decided to try the jeans. They fit exactly as expected. They have 3 rows of stitching down the outside of the legs and seem to be quite durable. They wash and dry well without noticeable shrinkage. The price was comparable to the American Eagle jeans that I typically buy him.

I would buy them again.
