Product Description

If your dog has had fleas, there’s a chance they have tapeworms too. Tapeworm segments are easily seen around your pet’s anal region or in their poop, similar to grains of white rice. It’s not always obvious, though, that your dog has tapeworms, so the best way to identify a problem is through an exam performed by a veterinarian. Use Bayer Tapeworm Dewormer for Dogs to treat your pet. Tapeworms can transmit to dogs when they inadvertently consume fleas, most commonly when they lick, chew or bite at their hair and skin to relieve itching. Dogs that hunt or chase rodents and rabbits are also at an increased risk for infection. Luckily, one treatment with the recommended tablet dose of Bayer Tapeworm Dewormer safely removes tapeworms. Review product packaging for dosage and administration based on your dog’s body weight. In addition to treating with tapeworm dewormer, take steps to control fleas and rodents on the premises in order to prevent reinfection; otherwise, another round of the tapeworm dewormer for dogs will be necessary. This is especially true in cases of tapeworms transmitted by fleas where reinfection is almost certain to occur if fleas are not removed from the animal and its environment. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. Keep away from children.

Got this product for our 4 month old 6lb chihuahua puppy. I got this puppy the day before thanksgiving from a lady that was seeking a new home. Brought her home to find she had a ton of fleas and tape worms. Our existing vet was not taking new patients for a month so I turned to Amazon for something that would work. Decided on this product based on reviews and it’s ability to arrive the same day (day after thanksgiving). Oh my how happy I am with the results. It’s now been 2 weeks and no sign of any worms, dead or alive. Because if her weight, she only needed one tab which was pretty big for a small dog. Tried sticking it in several items but that did not work. Ended up having to grind it down with the back of a spoon and mix with some peanut butter which she still hated and fought me every second lol. I would highly recommend this product!!
