These clips are super handy. Two of my daughters have very thick curly hair. They use these clips daily to section their hair while styling or straightening. They've become an essential tool for me when I'm coloring hair. I purchased another similar set of clips from amazon and these are by far the better of the two. We've had these for well over a year and all six are still as good as new. They're well made and thoughtfully designed. I like the assortment of colors and high quality. The plastic is hard, solid, and almost indestructible; the girls are pretty rough on these (e.g. dropping, stepping on, tossing on counter). Also, they wash up beautifully (zero rusting hardware). These are the real deal and would be a great addition to any hair stylist's arsenal.

I rarely state in a review that I love something but I do love these clips. I am a grown woman with thick, now curly hair. I have curly hair due to a mishap at my hair dressers. After having shoulder surgery I wanted an easy care hair style and asked my hair dresser for some body. I received quite a bit more than I was expecting. I was unable to tame all the curls after surgery with just one arm and hand. These clips were a godsend. I was able to pull my hair up and away from my face with just one hand. The clips are long and open wide enough to hold thick hair in place and the clips stay in place all day.

The colors are much prettier in hand than in the picture. I'm sure these clips could tame children's hair as well but they look nice enough for grown women to wear. The brown clips blend so well with my hair that with a little maneuvering of curls you can barely see them. The brown and olive green are my favorite colors. I would love to be able to purchase packs of a single color as I have a tendency to misplace things and need to buy more to have matching pairs.

DISCLAIMER: In all fairness the first pack of these clips was provided to me by the manufacturer at no cost to test and review. The second and now third pack I purchased at full cost. The clips are that good.

Wow. These clips are tough! I was expecting flimsy and cheap because of the bargain price. I was prepare for 6 clips that may break very quickly. Boy, was I wrong. These are much heavier duty than anticipated. They are thick and sturdy and they hold TIGHT! I'd originally gotten them to hold my hair up while I'm coloring it, since metal clips react badly with chemical dyes. These hold so well I can honestly say I'll be using them to hold my hair up when I go out. The colors are beautiful too! The pics just don't do them justice. Oh, 5 stars to the seller too. These came FAST! Much, much much faster than promised. Like two weeks faster. If I recall correctly they shipped from Hong King and arrived after only a week and a half, instead of the 4 - 6 weeks predicted with the shipping info. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! I'm going to order a second set for my daughter!

I loved them at first. They worked well on my thick hair, in the beginning. Unfortunately, they have all, with the exception of one, since broken. I do not believe that I was overly tough on them. So, maybe it was just mine or maybe they were not meant for my thick, curly hair, but they have not lasted. This is just my experience though.

Update: All but 2 cracked with no harsh use after a few months. The plastic doesn't hold up so if you're going to get these, beware.

I was a bit skeptical that these would be easy to handle (with dry or wet hands) when I first took them out of the package because they're smooth plastic with seemingly no way to get a good grip grip. Boy was I surprised! I took one out and slipped one in my dry, very curly/coarse hair and it stayed put. Later in the evening, I decided to put my natural hair in two-strand twists that required water and slippery styling products. I used about 4 or 5 of the clips, taking them out and putting them back for each section. With wet hands full of product, I had zero issues rearranging the clips! They stayed put and cooperated throughout the entire process. I even gave them a good rinse afterwards and they came clean instantly, then dried off just as quickly. I have 2 other kinds of clips that drove me nuts as they slipped all over the place and extended the time it took to style my hair just chasing them down. Not these! They cut styling time in half! I highly recommend them!

When I first got them I was really excited. I'm a cosmetology student and I practice on real clients. On the first uses they were working really amazing. They actually held the hair and my sectioning were neat, they were working pretty awesome on natural hair clients too. But then suddenly while I was doing a haircut on a client one of the clips broke when I tried to use them. They started falling apart one by one. I was really dissapointed. I don't really recommed these for hairstylists because we work with such different types of hair maybe that's why they all got broken.

These clips are GREAT! I use one to move back all one side of hair so I can put treatment cream on throat and neck. It easily keeps all hair back until dry with no problem. I also use one after I wash my hair, dry to almost dry, then put up in a high ponytail and wrap the tail part in a large curler. I clip the curler with one of these... and NO PULLING OF HAIR like all the other clips I've tried. After a couple of hours in ponytail, when I remove roller and clip, my hair forms a really nice pageboy... just enough curl under to be complimentary.
