It's a beautiful journal, the size of a normal book, not like those pocket-sized ones you get gypped with. The pages are thick and parchment as promised. The binding and designs are old-fashioned, giving it that cool old-world feeling I was hoping for.
Kind of bummed that the cover looks nothing like the photograph. The advertisement shows contrast between the pentagram, borders, and background- my copy just one shade of brown, so it looks boring. There's also a large blue ink stamp mark on the back inside cover, and the book keeps leaving marks wherever I set it. I have to keep a sheet of paper under it to keep it from ruining my desk.
All in all, it's got much more of that classic feeling that I love from journals at a better price than I've seen elsewhere, just bummed about the coloring mishap.
