I have been wearing Pumas for years. Most shoes are hit or miss, some last 6 months and some last for a year+ depending on the material and construction. These seem pretty durable and worth the money. If you're looking for comfort over style though these shoes are not for you. They are basically a minimalist shoe with hardly any padding. They are very lightweight and they look great with jeans or shorts.
A bit uncomfortable when new but it adapts to the contours of the foot; I've gotten a pair of these before and they eventually rip on the sides due to its narrowness but lasts for a year before it does so! I like these given that they are quite sporty and take on a natural shine when polished and could be worn with jeans and dress pants!
The laces are surrounded on 3 sides by a very shiny & plasticky strip with a somewhat unattractive dirty-white color. The color sort of matches the ridged surround on the heel, but without the heel's texture, which makes this plasticky strip look rather unfinished and makes the color stick out and look weird, instead of fitting in with the whole overall matte design.
This plasticky strip also seems to add another layer to the top of the shoe, which is unfortunate, making it too "fat" on top -- no longer like an organic puma paw, as it were, but rather something more like a fuselage.
On a somewhat more minor scale, the stitching at the ball of the foot attaching the sole to the white leather is perfect on one shoe but a bit puckered on the other -- not quite what I was expecting from Puma for that price.
I am usually a 9 1/2 but Puma's Future Cat Fashion shoes are not designed as a sneaker, sneaker. More like a sneaker dress shoe: sleek, slender & stylish. I recommend getting 1 size up from your ordinary sneaker size.
