Good product!
I have a half bedroom and decided to turn it into a small play area for my kids. I needed a small tv stand for their 32” television that can also double as storage and came across this. This is perfect for what I was looking for. It came 2 days after I ordered it. It was easy for me to lift as the box was about 28lbs. It did take me awhile to assemble because I couldn’t figure out why it kept falling apart as I tried to put each section together. I realized it was my error and as soon as I did, it became extremely easy. It also comes with brackets to anchor the cabinet to a wall of leg so that’s a plus. It’s really a good piece of furniture for the price. If you’re expecting a $300 quality cabinet for $50, then you’re setting yourself up to be disappointed.

Actually I thought this is a great product for the price. The baskets are a good size to hold small toys and I love the way it looks. I thought it was going to be to flimsy at first but once the back boards were screwed on it helped to hold it much better. I love it and it goes perfect in my daughters play room.

I was looking for something in my son's room that wouldn't take up a lot of space, but would provide decent storage. He has a ton of Legos and small toys, so I wanted something that would be easy for him to take out to play with and then easy to put away in. I'm hoping to encourage a cleaner room! It was a bit smaller than I was thinking, but it still does the job. And we were able to put a TV and gaming system on top of it. I was able to assemble it myself without the husband's help, even my 10 year old son joined me and we put it together. The back panels were a bit of a pain. There are several wood screws that you have to screw in without pre-drilled holes. But I was impressed that the backing was more sturdy than most cheap furniture like this that you see, with only like a piece a cardboard on the back. Once assembled it felt very sturdy. I got the Espresso color and it goes well with my son's furniture and the bins are nice vibrant colors that also suit a boy's room. For the price, I would say I'm very impressed with this product and would recommend. But you got to remember what you're buying, it's not an all wood piece of furniture that's going to last you for years and years. For now though, it certainly does the trick!

Put together quickly. Has a narrower width than most of the bin storage out there. I bought two of these for my son's very small room so the narrow width was perfect. Because the width is narrower, keep in mind the bins are smaller. We use these for toy storage. If you buy more than one, you are unable to place them flush together as the top piece extends a few inches past the sides.

I'VE READ SEVERAL REVIEWS ON THIS PRODUCT... I THINK PEOPLE'S EXPECTATIONS FOR A $50 PIECE OF FURNITURE ARE A LITTLE BIT OF A REACH. I AM AN INTERIOR DESIGNER, AND HAVE 18 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH FURNITURE. IT'S NOT ETHAN ALLEN, IT'S AN ENGINEERED WOOD PIECE OF FURNITURE. AKA PARTICLE BOARD. I PUT IT TOGETHER IN 10 MINUTES BY MYSELF WITH NO ISSUES. IT IS A FANTASTICLY CUTE LITTLE PIECE FOR THE PRICE. IT'S MEANT TO LAST A FEW YEARS, AS IS ALL PARTICLE BOARD FURNITURE. IT'S NOT HIGH END, BUT MY 4 YEAR OLD AN 7 YEAR OLD BOYS LOVE IT, SIT ON IT, AND USE IT DAILY. NOT A SCRATCH ON IT. IT'S STURDY ENOUGH TO HOLD THEM. NO REGRETS ON THIS PURCHASE!

If I could give this a zero rating, I would. Let me summarize:

1. Upon opening the box, I found tiny fibers all over everything. At first, I thought it was fiberglass, so instead of spreading it all over my son's room, I set the box aside until I could find out for sure. After a bit of research, it seems to be "unspun polystyrene" - which is all over everything in the box because the styrofoam packaging is the cheapest that money can buy (and in China, that's cheap). So, allow yourself an extra 30 minutes to vacuum (and then wipe with a damp cloth) as much of this crap off of every single piece of this garbage furniture as you can - because you can incidentally inhale these fibers, and it's not fun.

2. When wiping the shiny fibers off of all the pieces of the "cabinet", my damp paper towels were also wiping off what seemed to be black ink, paint, or some other manner of filth off of most of the 9 larger pieces of this product. I'm glad I wiped them down, so this nasty stuff didn't stain my clothes, or worse, end up on my son or his stuff. Allow yourself another 10 minutes to wipe all of the pieces down with a damp cloth or paper towel to get all of the crud off of them before "construction".

3. Seven of the 12 pieces of this trashy thing were badly scratched up. The product description reads, "non-toxic painted finish", but whatever the finish is, it arrived looking like I bought it from a resale shop - not new from Amazon.

4. The construction on this thing is all done by hand - your hand. So, have a screwdriver (both the tool and the alcoholic beverage) handy, as well as a second person to help hold these wads of debris together (because the included dowels are a worse fit than Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football's broadcast team - I know, I'm reaching now). Screwing on the two cardboard/pressboard backing pieces will also require a blessing from the pope to NOT split the "manufactured wood product" or otherwise damage your (likely) already damaged wood-like cabinet thing.

5. The notion that you can fasten this to a wall is novel, the inclosed hardware for doing so is a formality. Get a cheap furniture strap elsewhere if you feel you really need to. Honestly, I'd be more worried about this heap of rubble simply falling apart if my son climbs on it, not it falling over on him.

6. The idea that the list price is $148.65 on this thing is a complete fabrication - it has to be. I don't know how anyone with an ounce of knowledge of how supply & demand works could even suggest that this is worth half that price. To have paid over $80 for this makes me feel stupid and gullible. If I had a chance to see this pile of litter before buying, and had to guess the cost, I would have said "no more than $25.00" and meant it. I will NEVER buy another product from RiverRidge - and I'll be blogging about it, with the hope that any parent who thinks about buying their garbage, looks elsewhere. Go ahead, try to find River Ridge Kids online. They don't want to be found, because they know why you're looking for them.

This cabinet was just what we needed! I love the sturdiness and color of the drawers. It's so much better that the big toy box we had because everything was just thrown in there and my son had to take it all out to get one thing he wanted. With this cabinet, I can take out one drawer of things for him to play with and cut down on the amount of toys scattered all around. At 2 years old, he can remove and insert the drawers himself.

3.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy, wont hold up to my 2 year old boy without some extra reinforcements
Reviewed in Canada on October 29, 2019
Color: Espresso/PrimaryVerified Purchase
Vary flimsy! Had to add reinforcements as having it in my sons room I figured it wouldnt last long or stand up to the brute force of a 2 year old! If you have older kids who arnt going to climb and be rough with the furniture this could be a good choice for extra storage at a decent price but if you have young sometimes rough kids like my little boy, look for other options or be prepared to add reinforcements as I did! Some wood glue in the holes before the little wooded pegs go in helped make it just sturdy enough, only issue was I had it fully put together before realizing it needed that extra support and ended up taking the hole thing apart inorder to make sure it was going to stay together when I put it back together again.
