I also own a Rumparooz & a Best Bottom cover, and those are holding up quite well, after 3 months of use.

I'm amending my review to four stars from a measly two. After I contacted Bumkins directly via their webpage regarding the elastic issues they replaced my two covers and added an extra cover AND a bib to my package! These are very trim diapers. If you have a skinny little rug rat, then they'll fit beautifully. However, if you've got a chunky monkey, then I'd suggest another kind of diaper - the Rumparooz, Best Bottom & Buttons covers all have more room in them than these.
The other negative for me is the plentiful snaps around the waist. I actually ordered this product for that reason but now find it annoying to have to snap 5 times on the right and 5 time ob
the left. Plus, on the looser setting, some of the snaps are unused and press up against baby's skin.
Hands down my least favorite cover I have tried. I plan to try it on my next baby as a newborn but otherwise it has been deemed useless for now.
First the pros:
1) These are inexpensive covers, yet not cheaply made. The snaps and stitching are well done. I have not had any snaps break in 5 months of using them (with a toddler and a newborn).
2) The prints are fun!
3) They have double leg gussets, which help with with containing breastfed baby poo. I have not had any poop blowouts while using these (on a newborn and toddler). They also have flaps on the inside of the cover which help to hold in a tri-folded prefold and prevent wicking at the waist of the cover.
4) They are highly adjustable, which is good and bad (cons below) They work well for small newborns on the lowest rise setting and can go up to about a 24 lb toddler (tight at this weight). They have double rows of snaps, which ostensibly help to adjust both the waist and leg openings separately. They even have snaps on the opposite waist tab for smaller babies, if you need to pull the waist tabs over one another.
5) You can use these as newborn covers. Some adjustable covers cannot really be used with newborn babies. These work pretty well for a newborn on the lowest rise setting. They are a bit bulkier than newborn specific covers, but they work. I used them on the lowest rise setting until my baby was about 6 weeks old and 10 lbs, then I had to move up to the mid-rise setting. My baby is currently using them at the mid-rise setting, and is 3 months and just over 12 lbs.
6) They can be used for bigger babies and small toddlers. My toddler used these covers for a few months, and at the time was under 2 and about 23 lbs. They were on the largest rise setting, and were definitely tight. However, it is nice to have a diaper than can fit a newborn and a small toddler.
Cons
1) They have too many waist snaps! The number of snaps make them adjustable, but it's just too many. You have to snap 10 snaps to close the cover. You can get away with only snapping 8 of the snaps, but then the wings of the cover can droop. Because there are so many waist snaps, the diaper is bulkier than other covers, which is my main complaint. The snaps are also difficult to undo, which is probably why some reviewers have complained that the snaps are breaking. If you aren't careful, I can see how one could rip or break.
2) They don't fit as well as other brands of covers that I have. Although these do fit newborn and smaller babies, I still have other covers I prefer to use over the Bumkins brand. The leg openings seem to be small and narrow, so the waist seems to be pulled down by the leg openings, even if you adjust the rise setting. And, they are bulky....as I mentioned before.
3) These really can't be used from birth to potty training. I would be surprised if most average size 2 year olds can fit in them.
A few other points:
I use these covers with Green Mountain Diaper prefolds trifolded inside them. They did not work as well over fitted diapers and were even bulkier. Overall, I think this is a good value cover, if you want a cover you can use from newborn to about 18 months (or around 22-24 lbs). I also think they are better for skinnier babies, not chunkier ones, due to the leg openings being narrow.
Love the print the most, and it has elastic stretchy stuff for every opening! In my experience having the elastic bands for all openings will help contain blow outs.
Overall, I like this cover and would recommend it for prefold users.
It has a lot of snaps so it will fit for an extended amount of time! The color was nice, washed well, and worked perfectly!
