Order a size up from Keen's size chart recommendation. I purchased these shoes for both of my kids. They have each gotten a pair of Keen Whispers the last three summers. Both kids wear the Keen Whisper in the size recommended by Keen's size chart. As a result, I ordered the Rendezvous according to their size chart, and in the same size they currently wear in their Keen Whispers. The Rendezvous run a size small. I had to send back both pairs I ordered for the next size up and they now fit both kids great. They find them comfortable and are really happy with them. I bought them for use outside, especially outdoor P.E., as we live in the Pacific Northwest and the grass can be damp even from the morning dew. Last year both kids complained about their P.E. shoes letting water in and their socks being wet. These are supposed to be waterproof, so I am hoping these will work well for them. It's been really dry here this summer so we haven't had an opportunity to test the waterproof functionality yet!
