Got the watch today! I knew the strap was cheap so I went to the local jewelry store and paid $15 for a black leather band. The watch looks slick and clean now.

Update on my earlier review: I just bought this watch for the second time. It works perfectly, and I think it's the classiest unusual presentation of the time I've seen. I have several watches for different usage situations; I'll be wearing this one often.
My earlier review: I think I've figured out the bad reviews on this watch. I'm guessing that the quartz movement works properly in most or all of them, but that one or more of the three discs-- which indicate the hour, minute and second-- slip or hang up as they turn, which can make the indicated time be wildly off, or even make the watch look like it's not running at all. On mine, only the second "hand" disc hangs up repeatedly; it can take 2 or 3 minutes to make one complete revolution. But the minute and hour "hand" discs aren't affected by that at all, and so the time display is perfect. I wish the watch didn't even have the seconds disc; who needs one on this casual/sport watch? I really like the simple, unusual watch face design. I got mine for $4.99, and just ordered another one (now $7.99) in the hope that all 3 discs rotate properly. (If not, I'll wear the one I have, and scavenge the retro metal mesh band from the other one for use on a different watch, replacing its current, ugly black leather strap.) The metal band alone is worth the price of this watch (if you like that look, and I do).

I have to give it a one star. It looks cool for under ten dollars, it has a designer look to it, nice finishes... does not hold time. So it does not do the only thing it is supposed to do. It is not a 1 second late, 30 seconds late, 1 minute late... but hours late. There is no use for this watch if you need it to tell time, unless you are trying to impress people that do not know about watches. Then you could probably say its a 300 dollar watch because it was made by a famous French designer that is now dead, and it would still be a stretch. Do not consider this watch, if you need it to tell you the time.

Bought it as it was cheaper than a new watchband and due to it's being unusual. A am a small/med gal and it is very big, but interesting. The band is a little stiff but very adjustable--for a wrist fit or pushing it up higher on the arm. Also notice that the hour indicator does over time move to the left of the usual spot, but easy to tell time with this watch. I'd give a 3+.
