First, let me say that the service was AMAZING and this product arrived fully boxed, with appropriate La Mer stickers intact, and completely wrapped in cellophane. Basically, this looks exactly like the same product I have received from approved La Mer distributing stores.
Second, this is an incredible product. It is VERY rich and VERY creamy, and ideal for dry, very dry, and/or aging/mature skin, as well as skin with puffiness, and dark to very dark circles. I still have to use my eye cream under it, but this is not meant to replace that. I am almost 46 and have always had dry and sensitive skin and now have the fine lines and wrinkles, the dark circles I've always had, and some light hyperpigmentation - all consistent with skin type and not starting a protective regimen early enough.
However, this product works miracles........plus, it heals and begins to correct underlying problems, such as the broken capillaries that cause damage and lead to dark circles, as you use it. As for the cost, it is definitely something you can not ignore. It is ridiculously expensive, but I must say I have NEVER SEEN NOR USED anything like this. While I do not believe it would work for oily skin - although if using a primer it could work - this is perfect for dry and/or combination skin.
Also in regards to the price, aside from the fact that it works, is the fact that this will last me for AT LEAST 12 MONTHS......& that's with frequent use, often over several areas mixed with the tinted corrective moisturizer. I usually don't use the little brush but it is very nice, it takes no more than one VERY LIGHT swipe across the product for medium to full coverage of a comparatively large area (i.e. Complete coverage of both eyes, top and bottom, with enough left to start contouring down sides of nose and corners of mouth).
