In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. First Pair Of Aasics and So Far, Did Not Disappoint!

They are NEON and I mean NEON, IN YOUR FACE pink. They are SO VERY MUCH BRIGHTER than I expected them to be. I can't stress this enough, if you eschew bright colors and don't want to stand out, these are NOT the color for you. When I opened the box, I said "oh GOD, no!" However, I decided to give them a shot as they are totally different than anything I have ever worn before in terms of color on the feet, and I have gotten several compliments in the past 2 days on the color. They are sort of growing on me- the color definitely has put a little more 'pep in my step' LOL. They are fun to wear. I can only wear them with thin socks. I am always a size 8, so that is what I ordered. The first time putting them on, I thought they felt too tight. Give them a chance, though because they go on tight but then they feel as though they should- made for your foot. I don't think I would have gone up to an 8 1/2. They DO provide excellent ankle support so that is a great thing and once they are on and you stand up in them and start walking around, they are SOOOOO SO much more comfortable! Again, they felt a bit tight at first, but these are a true running shoe so they are not going to feel like a cross trainer or an UGG (that I've been wearing to survive this past winter!) They were a very fair price and they're really super cute. Nice and light as well. I will also say, and this is BIGGIE for me because I have chronic back pain- my back has not felt this good in YEARS since I started wearing these shoes. I definitely recommend. My first pair of Aasics and they did NOT disappoint! They will not be my last either!

I felt that the shoe was a bit narrow, but if I don't tie the laces tightly they fit fine and are comfortable to wear all day... The vendor (which was not Amazon) shipped the shoes what had to be the slowest method possible, as it took over two weeks to receive them... They were a bit rude when I contacted them about my purchase as well... If they happen to be the vendor for a future purchase I will look elsewhere to make my purchase...

I picked these shoes, first of all, to match my two young daughters new running shoes of the same style for kids. Also I needed new running shoes, so it was a good time to get new ones. I selected my usual size and it fit as expected. I love the color combination - the silver base, light blue and the bright pink accents and lace are top notch - after all, when running I like happy colors to increase my mood! They're comfortable (although I only tried them a couple of times so far) but I can tell I don't need time to break them in; they do their job quite well. And they're so light-weight it makes me fly! Well, sort of... You got the point. Recommend it.

Have worn the Asics brand for a long time...they fit my personal feet the best, in my experience. This was the first time I ever bought shoes without physically trying them on first. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

The pair I got are quite colorful and fun, a change from my usual all white or all black pattern of purchasing. I like that aspect too.

These shoes work really well for me, as my feet tend to pronate when walking and running. They are a little heavy, but well padded. I believe they run a little narrow, because ordinarily I wear AA width, but because of past experience with the brand, I ordered the regular B width. They fit fine.
The pink laces are really bright; I would honestly rather they were a little more subdued, but I guess they're okay.
