Durable, sturdy, roomy, and priced right!
Bought this case in lieu of the $300 (gag!) Ravin casket case. My Ravin R20 is one of the most compact xbows on the market and at first I was like wow! this case is too big. But the extra room quickly grew on me. I just spent a month, hunting everyday, using the case to carry my bow into the woods on my 4wheeler and that extra room came in handy. I can stash a broad head box behind the stock end or a GPS+range finder+grunt call. I have a 20 minute 4wheeler ride in and the roomy front accommodates a pair of “ride in” gloves + jacket when I get off at my destination. This allows me to have my hunting clothes already packed on my climber, ready to go. Padding is somewhat sparse, but adequate. I installed longer Velcro straps that I picked up at Home Depot, which allows me to strap down my quiver/bolts alongside my bow. Fletching floats in the back of the case, so no bent fletchings. Plastic latches have held up fine, even when cramming my coat into the front. Just a good solid workhorse, with a price you will be hard pressed to beat, that also fits a multitude of bows! Can’t go wrong with this one in my opinion.Edit: I keep getting all these Amazon “can you answer” questions from people asking if it will fit this or that bow. First, people generally say what bow they are putting into it so don’t be lazy, scan or do a search on the comments yourself and look for someone who commented on a bow like or similar to your own.. Secondly, the case is a generic case. It’s purposefully made to fit almost everything out there, so the risk of it not fitting is low. Lastly, it’s free returns so really it’s zero risk. Buy it and if it doesn’t fit, send it back.

The Plano Crossbow Case does exactly what it is supposed to do. It provides a safe and secure location for crossbows. It is easy to use and the secure points for the bow are adjustable. My Horton Brotherhood doesn't move or slip a bit. There is space for bolts, tips, and other accessories. The materials are good quality especially considering the price and it includes a number of straps for securing the bow. Also includes soft styrofoam pieces to aid in securing the bow and prevent scratches.

So, what is wrong with this case?

It is big and bulky to start. Yes, I know this is unavoidable due to the size and shape of crossbows and the fact that we aren't required to breakdown our weapons. Perhaps I wouldn't be so concerned if the case were lined with soft styrofoam or the extra space better designed for storing additional parts or bolts.

Speaking of styrofoam, there certainly is a lack of it and I know this is a cost saving measure as well. Plano makes cases and storage boxes across all price points but this case needs the styrofoam to give it a quality look and to further secure the bow and additional items stored. I had to buy and cut foam to help out what was already provided.

Ergonomics is another concern that could be easily solved by eliminating some of the angles and odd cuts that do nothing to aid the purpose of the case.

I like the case and it is a good buy at it's price. I believe it will protect my crossbow from the mishaps that I cause. It works fine given my Brotherhood isn't an expensive bow. But, I would probably look elsewhere if I owned a more expensive Barrett or TenPoint.

I just received this case today, and I absolutely love it. I have a Mathews mission sub 1 XR with an Oracle
scope. When I was looking over this case online, I was not sure if my bow would fit. I put the 3 sharp's that it comes with on, very easy to do. Put my bow in it and closed the case 😲 I was shocked that it actually fit. I opened it back up put my quiver and 3 bolts in it. closed the case with ease. The bow doesn't move, shack or rattle. O YEAH! I can't forget that I also have the Mission RSD cranking aid on the bow. I don't even have to remove it, to close the case. It's built like a mini tank. Crisp closing latches.

Just like the title says. I replaced the optics with something a little taller and still fits.....just throw small hand towel on top of the optics to prevent any potential scratches....just picky that way. Thumbs up and secure carry.

The Ulta Compact size fits many small bows, but is perfect for the NASP Genesis series bow used for school archery programs. Schools require anyone bringing their own bow to and from school to have an airline approved, hard-case which is lockable. This case fits the bow, is lockable, and is durable. I have been using a similar case for more than a decade for my hunting bows, and they have never let me down for protection of my expensive equipment.

Setting up the arrow storage and bow-straps takes a few minutes, but if you can use a screwdriver and "insert tab A into slot B", you'll have no issues!

I only wish the lid section of the case had foam (like my larger cases) for added protection, and the two locking holes on the far sides force you to use two locks for security, rather than a single lock in the center, at the handle. I also wish the case had storage slots for 12 arrows (like my larger cases). When you need 10-12 arrows for tournament shooting, it is annoying to have to carry this case AND an arrow case (since a reasonable sized arrow-case will not comfortably fit inside this case. A small-diameter tube-case (2"-3") should fit along the string-side of the bow, and a strap is located there to secure it, but a box-case will not fit.

5-stars for price, fit, protection, and performance. My wish-list of updates/changes to the design do not affect the performance or value of this case in any way, but would certainly increase the value in my eyes!

I bought an Excaliber Micro Crossbow and wanted a case to protect it while travelling and for storage when I am not using it. This Plano Case is the perfect fit for my crossbow, it is sturdy and well padded on the inside to keep my bow protected.

I highly recommend this case, it is well designed and solidly built at a good price point.
I saw this same case at some of the big sporting good stores and it was more expensive than Amazon.
