I purchased for my mom's 2009 Chevy Cobalt LT. Amazon says it fits, but the original thermostat had a noticeably larger diameter. It seems like a quality part though. I don't recommend purchasing for your Cobalt. I used Vise-Grip Original Long Nose Locking Pliers to twist around a clamp that was in the way of one of the two 10mm bolts. Replaced the radiator fluid with the correct color. Took it for a drive. After the engine warms up, your temperature will display and the fan will stop turning on when you start your car.

I thought I was going to save money by bringing the part to the mechanic. Amazon suggested the part and confirmed it was the correct part for my vehicle. I didn't know that it was the wrong part until the mechanic pulled the old one and could easily tell it was too small. Not only did it take twice as long (waiting for a replacement to be delivered) but it also cost me twice as much . Never again!
