Size: My dad usually wears a 8.5 and when he gets this he think it's somewhat large. I exchanged with an 8 and he decides to keep the 8.5 because it fits better. So go with a size that you usually wear.Quality: Extremely WARM; DURABLE; waterproof (light amount of rain); not sure if it's anti-slippery because my dad never wears it on a day after snow; the cutting and handcraft is not TOO delicate (acceptable.)Price: I think it's worthwhile to find a pair that protects your feet in an extremely cold day with this price. So i will say go for it!

As some have mentioned, these aren't supportive like hiking boots, but I did not expect that at all. Very high quality like (my old Sorels) and extremely warm snow boots. Completely waterproof. I like this design with the 4 sets of "D" loops better than the style with lace eyelets: makes putting on and taking off much easier. I typically wear a size 9-1/2, so ordered a 10 and the fit seems right. Slightly large, but just about right with thick wool socks. I think a 9 would've been too small. I feel like a little "wiggle room" is good for circulation in your feet and staying warm.

I have been wearing Sorels since I landed in Duluth, MN in the winter of 1971. All I had was a pair of steel toed issue boots; did not work well. I went across the river to Superior to a sporting goods store & bought my 1st pair of 1964 Sorels. Since then, that's all I've ever worn in the winter; it's just as cold in Wisconsin! My last pair of 1974 T boots ran 2 sizes small. They lasted 12 years & I wore them year around in the morning & at night when I would go out with the dog. I remove the laces & they're just like wearing fuzzy oversized slippers. My feet have always been dry & never too warm nor do my feet get cold. Even wearing them all day has nev bothered my feet. Moisture has never been much of an issue for me, if it is, simply remove the liners & let both the liners & the boots dry out overnight.

I wear a size 9 Red Wing & a size 9 Sorel Caribou (I save the Caribous for snow & ice because of the stud soles). I tried sizes 9, 10, & 11 1964 T before I found a 10-1/2 1964 Pac T that fits, there was a $50 price increase for the 10-1/2 size 1974 T over the price of the 10 & 11. Order at last one size larger for the 1964 T & 1964 Pac T & be prepared to have to exchange them for the size that fits you best. Both the T & the Pac T have the same waffle tread soles/bottoms.

Hopefully these will last as long as my last pair. If they don't, I'll be back to revise this review.

I am a size 9.5 in men's. I bought the size 10. It fits great, but these feel a bit more narrow than I am used to, and I do not have wide feet by any means. So get a size half larger, or possibly even a full size larger if you have wide feet. If you do have wide feet though, it might be better to avoid these boots. However, the produce is good product and keep my feet warm and dry.

These Sorel boots are wide toed. I mention this upfront because I liked that feature. Some winter boots are too narrow and become too tight when winter socks are worn. To accommodate that issue, some people buy a half size or full size bigger boots. I didn't want to do that. I purchased my size because these were wide enough to allow me to wear heavy winter socks.

These boots are comfortable and you'll be able to wear more than one pair of socks (if you don't have heavy winter socks) if you need them. The boot liners are removal and washable. I love that! It's like wearing a new pair of boots! You will need about walk around in them a little to get used to feel, and that's partly because of the height. I've driven several vehicles in these (SUVs and cars), but, because they are wide toed, you should be mindful of how your foot will adjust to the gas and brake pedals - and cluthch if you're driving a stick shift vehicle. By the way, these are not heavy.

These boots keep water out and my toes have never been wet whenever I've worn them. My toes have felt cold at times, but I actually had on thinner socks during those times. Should it matter? Hmm, maybe not. I was expecting not to wear heavy winter socks each time I wear these boots. Notwithstanding that, I would still recommend the Sorel 1964 PAC T Snow Boot to anyone, especially if you're looking for wide-toed winter boots.

Thanks for reading!

So far I like them quite a bit. They are warm, seem like solid construction, though they are a bit on the bigger side compared to other boots I own. They have the insulated liner that is removable, but no insole for support. I appreciate this actually since I use my own inserts, but people should be aware that buying insoles for these boots is probably a good idea. Hopefully they last a long time...

I go barefoot or in moccasins most of the year, but in the deeps of winter, I've struggled to find a solution that was warm enough, fit my 12 EEEE flippers, and yet was minimal enough to allow me to move properly. I was actually encouraged by the poor folks reviewing it complaining these have no support and thus do not work for hikes, snowshoeing, longs standing, etc. This is indeed a minimal(ish) boot that offers no support except for the ankle (which is higher than I'd like) -- but an acceptable compromise for accomplishing my purposes. To those who believe those have too little support, It's you who are failing your feet by putting them in modern foot binders and causing them to lose strength and capacity.

From my experience with Colorado mountain winters (where I live), I know official mukluks fail because we get too warm during the day, they get wet and rot out in a matter of weeks. From my past experience with Sorel's Carabou, I expect these to handle the rough use I'll be throwing at them. I am hoping these handle the moisture generation of biking, running, hiking, and snowshoeing for 8+ hours in a day (I'll be getting extra liners so they can dry at night).

Update: After doing 4 miles of snowy mountain trail in these, I was really noticing the heel height. I shaved the heels down to parity with the forefoot using a hatchet (with a carving, shaving motion). Have since done 10+ miles and they feel much, much better.
