588 days and still going. These shoes are great. EDIT: (and again after 819 days)
I ordered these shoes in September of 2016. The 8.5 is a bit long, but the 2E width was great. My normal 8.5 could come from the fact that I have historically worn running shoes, but even with the slight extra length I have worn these shoes every single day since I got them. At this point that means I have worn them for 588 days, and they are still going. The sole has worn, and there are a few places where I am wearing away the foam. These are the best and most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The attached pictures are of the right shoe after 588 days of constant use. The left is similar, if not a bit better off. I have not conditioned/cleaned/treated the leather (the Obenauf's in the background is for my hat and wallet).I just ordered another pair (8 2E this time) because there are a few situations where these are a bit...worn...to be presentable, but I am seriously impressed by these shoes and felt they deserved the write-up.EDIT: That second pair lasted a long time, and after another 819 days I am back for another. I will likely keep buying these as long as they let me.

My husband usually wears a size 10 Medium, which is what I initially ordered. Upon his trying the shoes on, however, the fit was too short and two narrow. The exchange size of 10.5 Wide fit perfectly! The shoe itself is lighter weight probably due to the bottom of the shoe not being your typical heavy rubber. I'm wondering if the tread will last as long because of this . . . but it is non-slip and provides good cushioning. The eyelet lace up style and casual suede appearance is perfect for dressier casual use, where work shoes would look out of place. Just order half a size up and one size wider than usual. Very nice product!

Update 10/15/2015: I've owned these shoes for less than two months and they are starting to fall apart. Pieces of the sole are starting to come unglued and the sole is coming unglued from the upper. Also, the shoes are showing creases everywhere and the heel on one shoe has loosened quite a bit to the point where my heel is slipping when I walk. Fortunately, Amazon.com was kind enough to take these back as defective and give me a refund.

Original Review:

As of the date of this review, I have been wearing these shoes daily for a week. I have never worn Dunham shoes before. I was looking for a shoe that would wear like an athletic shoe but would look good for a casual office environment. These shoes look good, but they don't quite wear like an athletic shoe does. I would say that the comfort of the shoes feels right between a typical dress shoe and an athletic shoe. The insole is nice. The arch support is moderate, but not great. The sides and heel seem somewhat thin and stiff, like what I would expect from a dress shoe. The tongue doesn't have much padding and isn't very long. The tongue is somewhat uncomfortable for the first few days.

Comparing these shoes to the Rockport brand, there's no doubt to me that the Rockports are more comfortable. These shoes might be marginally lighter than a comparable pair of Rockports though. I think next time I'll go back to Rockports.

I'm somewhat disappointing with these shoes. I was expecting them to be much more comfortable because they are a New Balance brand. I suppose I expected comfort on par with athletic shoes.

I accidentally ordered a half size too small and could not cancel in time. I was dismayed to discover the shoes I received were larger than if I had ordered my correct size. In other words, they were a full size too large. This is in comparison to multiple other New Balance shoes I own.

I have been wearing 14 2E shoes from New Balance for quite some time and this was the first time ever I put on a pair that hurt my feet. I put them on and moved around inside a bit just to see if it as me but that caused even more pain. They are narrow like a set of slip-on shoes. Definitely do not feel like the traditional 2E that I have come to expect from New Balance. I am not sure if the were marked wrong or if this new style/version just runs narrow but I wanted to post this for those who need a wide shoe, if you buy 2E, get 4 or 6E to accommodate your foot.
