ok, these are ugly but i am not going to deduct for that. comfy shoes are often ugly. i also will say that my right foot is bigger than my left due to injury so i am taking that into consideration. the problem is that these are big in the wrong place. wide shoes need to be big in the toe and ball of the foot first and foremost. these shoes are big in the middle of the shoe. so they still fit tight in front and are sloppy in the middle. to be fair this is common with "wide" shoes but it's still a design flaw for this shoe. it is worth noting that the shoes are very light and the material of the sole is cushy. the last comment is on the insole. these have a rounded bowl effect under the ball of the foot. another common design flaw, but combined with not being wide enough in that area these were uncomfortable.

I bought this pair for my dad who suffers from gout, so it is really hard to find a good pair of extra wide comfortable shoes for him. These shoes are indeed extra wide (I got 5E for him and he can easily wear them even if he has a gout attack), comfortable, lightweighted and stylish. The shoes are made from a breathable material, so they are just perfect for the spring/summer and the sand color just goes with everything. I'm very pleased with the purchase and so is my dad!

Uglier in person, the 13 4E was WAAAAAYYY to big for me and this is the size I wear in most other brands.
They felt really cheap too, not sure if it was because of the size, but I would not recommend these. Giving them the benefit of the doubt with 2 stars since I didn't get the right size (apparently).
