About us
Cold Steel is a company dedicated to making the strong, sharp knives in the world. Over the last three decades, Cold Steel has been at the forefront of the many innovations that have helped to define the knife industry. That goal as elusive and difficult to achieve as it is, has been the same for the past forty years.
Product Description
The Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife takes inspiration from a 1950's classic. It has all the features that made the original an award-winning, international favorite. The more contemporary version is made out of German 4116 Stainless steel and hollow ground to a razor edge. It will glide through just about any material because its elliptical profile is very efficient at reducing cutting drag. The Polypropylene handle is equally efficient, fitting snugly in virtually any hand. It's slightly offset in relation to the blade to keep one's fingers safely out of the way. Light and tough enough to endure hard knocks, it will never break or fall apart in the way a traditional wood handle is prone to do. This 2-ounce blade comes complete with a pouch style black Cor-Ex sheath. It's light, slim and compact enough to carry on your belt or slung from a cord around your neck day in and day out. Specifications: - Blade Length: 4" - Overall Length: 8 1/2" - Steel: German 4116 Stainless - Weight: 2. 2 oz - Blade Thickness: 2. 5 mm - Handle: 4 1/2" Long High Impact Polypropylene - Sheath: Cor-Ex Sheath

as for the actual quality of the knife it comes with a good sharp edge right out of the box the shape of the blade make it real easy to touch up and sharpen. the handles is kind of cheap and I am not sure how deep the tang penetrates the handle but this shouldn't matter much because this is more of a fine detail knife than it is a heavy heave\y duty workhorse so the handle is adequate even if it does feel a bit cheap. A bonus is that mine came with a plastic clip on belt sheath very much copied from the Morakniv style of plastic sheaths. I am not the biggest fan of that type of sheath and usually will replace it with leather but on this inexpensive knife the plastic sheath is good enough and it is way better than the nylon sheath this knife\ used to come with, everywhere I see it advertised it is shown with a flimsy nylon sheath. I was pleased when mine came with the upgraded sheath.
This knife is for my 11yo daughter as her first fixed blade starter knife for when we go fishing, camping etc.
So out of the box, this thing is sharp!!! It's not knife sharpener fanatic sharp, but sharp enough to get to work right out of the box. I love the knife design as it fits well in both her hands & mine as well; and I use Large gloves. This knife looks big due to the generous handle, but in reality it's a sweet spot size in my opinion. I think this makes a great first knife for kids to learn how to use knives, the design & size allows them/anyone to learn different knife applications easily.
I strongly recommend this knife
Pros; Great all around usage knife, pricing, design and quality
Cons; Sheath, but given it's price it's an easy resolution.
I field dressed a deer, took it back to the house, skinned it, quartered it, and was over halfway through separating steaks from roasts when it finally needed a little touch up with the sharpener. It held a BRILLIANT (shaving) edge right up to the end.
All in all, it's kind of a funny looking knife, but it flat out WORKS.
The sheath is made of a nylon/cordura-type material and reinforced on the 'edge' side so you won't accidentally cut it. It has an open top and a loop to run your belt through. I was a bit concerned it would allow the knife to slip out, but it fits in very snugly, with only about 1 and 1/2 inches of handle sticking out the top.
I cannot say enough for this knife. At such an inexpensive price, it is a great buy. (Also, when I thought I had lost it in the field, that made it a lot easier decision for me to immediately go buy a second one.)

Anhand all dieser positiven Details trennt sich hier ganz klar die Spreu von Weizen auf dem weiten Feld der online Anbieter.Battle Merchand ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert! Und die Cold Steel Produkte sowieso!
Classic Grohmann shape. At a fraction of the price.
Out of the box shaving sharp. As with all cold steel products.
Holds an edge fairly well German 4116 stainless steel is easy to polish and hone.
Had mine for a month or two and have not had to sharpen, just a little stropping.
Feels very comfortable in the hand used it to clean a pike last night with ease. Comes in a plain cold steel box
with is plastic sheath. plastic sheath holds knife securely, gives a nice audible click and feedback when it is fully secured in place,
has one drainage hole at lowest point.
Belt clip will fit nicely on at 2 inch belt, im sure it will still work on bigger or smaller belts, and it works fine just hanging
on the side of your pocket. sheath designed to be carried on right hand side. So blade faces rearward when its pulled
Sheath also has a button hole on the clip. so knife can be hung from a button.
