Just in case you're considering the purchase of this for a Non-Weston unit, beware of the screw hole alignment. I need one for a fry cutter I purchased from Northern Tool and it's just half a screws-width from fitting.
I'm giving it 5 stars because if I'd had this nice metal frame blade in the first place mine wouldn't need replacing.

Blades are not sharp or strong enough for sweet potatoes and yams. I ruined it on the first attempt. It is bent out of shape and useless. Regular potatoes barely make it through and I can see the blades straining under the pressure. Unfortunately this is the blade you get with the Weston French fry cutter. Better of to buy the 1/2 inch plate and use that.

This is a good product. Better than the first one I bought , 4 years ago, which was mostly plastic with metal cutters.

This one is all metal, frame & cutters...

But I should have bought the DIE with the cutter. They do not match 100%, I had to redrill the mounting holes ( easy step ).

This looks and feels like a stronger product.
