UPDATED REVIEW regarding product defect

UPDATE: SELLER HAS MADE AMENDS - On notification of their product defect (described below), TexereSilk expedited a replacement for the Lounge Pajama Pants, with a note that the replacement had been further inspected for quality. I received the replacement within a few days and it does appear to have sturdier material and seaming. If it lasts six months, it will deserve the 4-stars compared to competing products, and if it lasts a full year, like my original order, I would reinstate the 5th star.

CORRECTION: FORGET the 5-STAR reviews I gave this product based on my 2014 order. When I ordered the same product on April 20 this year (2015), it failed after ONE MONTH, despite hand washing and air-drying. The material was thinner, and the center seam came apart like tissue paper. And when I tried to process a return, I was notified that this defective product is NO LONGER ELIGIBLE FOR RETURNS! Buyer beware. YOU CANNOT TRUST TexereSilk! And AMAZON instructions were no help, either.

Here's what I said about the original product, which lasted a full year:

This is my 3rd attempt to find really comfortable sleep pants that last more than 3-6 months. (The Klein and Boss Micro Modal fabrics developed holes despite careful washing and air-drying.) This silk product cost a bit more, but it's a good fit (especially the length), and the silk fabric seems more sturdy. The pants are light and comfortable in warm or cold nights. Now, if it lasts longer than 6 months, I'll be inclined to add the fifth star.

UPDATE: It's now 8 months of every-night use, and this product finally managed to suffer a split in the seam, easily repaired. It has outlasted all the micro-modal pants I tried, and it's still viable for further wear. At the price, it's the best I've tried, and I have added the fifth star, as promised in the original review.

ive had lots of polyester and knock off silk pajamas and decided to finally spring for the real deal and boy am I happy I did. these feel amazing and look amazing. they are really thin but still manage to hold in heat. I wear a 34/33 size jeans and the large is pretty baggy on me not around the waist but around the legs and they are way longer than my legs so the bottoms drag on the ground.

An Extravagance, But a Nice Indulgence

I have not worn my pants other than to try them on, but the product was as described and it feels very luxurious. For me this was an extravagance because it I probably won't wear them often, but that is OK. My only complaint, and this is a minor item, is that the pants naturally came folded in a package and to get the fold wrinkles out required a considerable amount of ironing. I will admit that I do not have much experience ironing silk, so perhaps there is an easier method than the one I used, but it took me about 30 minutes in total. However, it was worth the effort since the finished product looks great and I look forward to actually wearing them.

I will start with these PJ pants feel fantastic! High quality look & style with true 100% silk. So if you put these on as you're crawling into bed, and take them off as you get up... You will be completely satisfied. Perhaps there is a difference between pajama & lounge pants. And in this difference is the problem. So here's the problem if you want to where these in the evening or on a lazy Sunday morning you will encounter problems. The primary issues are: The length is longer than the chart reads. The closer (fly) is button that are tricky to open & close. With a tie-up above the buttons. This is REALLY impractical for guys. Now, this said, they really do feel great! And I probably wouldn't even mention it if they weren't 40, 50 or 60 dollars for a pair of pajama pants!

Comfortable but not well made

As you would expect from any silk pajamas, these are very comfortable and fit well. However, the pockets are oddly placed and you can't fit your hands all the way into them because they're so small.

The biggest problem though is how cheaply they're made. I've had them for just under a month and the stitching on one of the seams tore already. Since the silk in the surrounding area basically shredded there's no easy way to sew it back up without patching, so I basically paid 70 bucks to rent silk pajamas for a month.
