The Magpul Ranger Plate is a floorplate replacement for current issue aluminum USGI mags that incorporates an integral loop, floorplate lock, and mag identifier. When installed on the base of a mag, the Ranger Plate provides unsurpassed speed and controllability during high stress, tactical mag changes. I really like this bases. I have about 30 usgi mags and put this on 3 of them, my new favorite 3. They're great for speed reloads as they protect the base of the mag. They're ingenious because the design seems like it shouldn't work, but it works perfectly, beyond my comprehension after a few whiskeys deep. I also like them in my 3x3 mag pouch, I can snatch them out of the pouch with ease and no more thumb competing to grab the next mag. If your life depends on an ar-15 magazine, then you should trust it to these.

I love Magpul's floorplate loops. I also love the fact that they are sticking to their guns, pun, and pulling out of Colorado. I, along with them will be leaving this state as I will not give them one more cent of my tax money. For all of you who believe in the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, you should boycott Gov. Hickenlooper by boycotting Colorado. Please do not hunt, fish, ATV, or give Hickenlooper one red cent of your monies. Hooray for you Magpul!!!

I know this has nothing to do with the floorplates, but I'm entitled to my opinion. While I still have my freedom of speech, I'm putting it out there. Buy these, they work, they fit, and I still say they are awesome. For all of you Coloradans, buy all of the 30 round magazines that you can and keep the receipts. For those of you who think you can hand over your Second Amendment and your First Amendment rights will stay intact, you do not deserve liberty or freedom and you better think again... Never UNDERESTIMATE the Stupidity of large groups of people. We must fight for our freedoms.

Great product fits and works as described.
I installed them on my LAR-15 mags. Does not interfere with mag well area, smooth edges don't catch fabric or gloves. I did have to slightly modify as my mags where 10 rounds and with floor plates installed it was nearly impossible to I steer the 10th round. With a little snip and 2 sec. Extra per mag fits and functions perfectly with all 10 rounds.

I will buy these again in a heart beat if/when I get more mags.
