try one. medium to ilight duty
I was extremely skeptical. but after my stihl gas powered died after a year and a half I was left extremely annoyed. so I already have a few Ryobi plus lithium tools so I decided it couldn't hurt. it didn't. I love this little thing. the 2Ah battery is a little lacking , but I have the 4Ah one and it rips for about 40 minutes per charge. so I can do a half of our acre of property on one charge. just don't buy the standard trimmer line refills for it. they are too wimpy. upgrade to the .080 trimmer line - yes it does work. don't go any larger though as it wont fit. it doesn't do really heavy duty very well, it can though but it struggles. so medium to light duty and it'll rip.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

not much more than a toy. very light weight, but very light duty. with short string length and single vs double string, it just can't handle anything more than short, thin grass. it's painfully slow to trim with. it's not a weed cutter, just a grass trimmer, and fine for that, if it's what you need.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

I love, love, love this product. I was skeptical thinking it would not be very powerful, but it is. Regular weed trimmers are so heavy I can not use them for very long so I was searching for something lightweight. I did not think battery powered would be the answer but it certainly was light weight, so I decided to give it a try. The only downfall it the battery does not last very long, maybe 2o minutes. Lightweight weed eater. Does everything I ask it to…
Perfect weed eater. Had been using another brand, but it was too heavy and my arms would tremor for hours after using it. This is great, cuts the thicker weeds well , the string feeds itself out like a dream. No tremors after I finish using it. I’ve landscaped rock on half of my former lawn, so the remainder takes 10 minutes with this treasure. If I run out of power I just swap the battery out from my flashlight, drill, etc and finish the job. So happy I bought it. A really great trimmer that is easy to use.

The "Little Trimmer That Can"
When the partially-assembled product arrived, I was a bit apprehensive over the exclusive use of plastics in the structural parts of this trimmer. but once it was snapped-together, the battery charged and given a test run around the back lawn, I was a believer. This beats the pants off my previous B&D (and we aren't talking kinky here), in terms of both cutting and lasting power. Great product for light duty
Inexpensive and powerful enough to handle light trimming. Works great for basic yard care. Tackles the thicker stuff with a full charge, less so when battery power starts running down but still gets the light stuff all the way until it needs recharged.
